Michael Long, the editor of First Class Citizenship, recently interviewed Rachel Robinson, the widow of Jackie Robinson. Mrs. Robinson discusses Jackie Robinson’s political affiliations, his dealings with Martin Luther King, Jr., and Malcolm X, and why he chose to support particular candidates—sometimes against her advice.
